Carrots vs. Radishes, Update from June 4th

We had a fun and easy workday today although we missed having our leader, Larry, and his supplies and his learned input. We did manage, and we did figure out a few things:

Next year we need not plant so much collard. It doesn't seem to be a favorite.

Next year we might stagger the planting of lettuce so that we can enjoy it over a longer period of time.

The carrots couldn't compete with the radishes. Radishes were harvested today but the carrot plants that were intermingled with them are far and few between.

We will plan our dedication for August. Naomi and Larry will come up with a date and then we'll start organizing and contacting the mayor's office and media. If you are able to help with this or can pass on pertinent contacts, please let me know.
