30 households, lots of work, and plenty to harvest.  Tomato cages were
made to replace some of the older, worn cages. Turnips and beets were
thinned, wire and metal supports were installed in the asparagus bed,
the perennial beds were weeded, and wood chips continued to be spread
throughout the garden on the pathways.  Though much of the broccoli
crop had flowered there was still some to harvest and then the entire
bed was cleared. The other harvested crops consisted of  kale,  Swiss
chard, snow peas, beets, turnips, more kohlrabi, red leaf and romaine
lettuce.  There was plenty for Our Daily Bread and thanks go to Scott
and Joanne for making this week's delivery.
